One Community. One Mission. One Drop at a Time.
During military service, Farron Dozier experienced exertional rhabdomyolysis during physical training and later learned the importance of understanding hydration, recovery, physical readiness, and inherited risk factors.
Today, that experience serves as the foundation for educating others and helping prevent similar incidents.
Our Goal
Awareness. Education. Prevention.
Helping individuals recognize risk factors before emergencies occur.
Protecting Athletes Through Awareness and Education

HEAT ILLNESS, SCT & RHABDOMYOLYSIS
Understanding Preventable Risk Factors
Some health emergencies occur when physical exertion exceeds the body’s ability to adapt to environmental and physical stress.
Education is one of the most effective prevention tools available.
Heat Illness
Heat illness occurs when the body cannot effectively regulate temperature.
Examples include:
● Heat cramps
● Heat exhaustion
● Heat stroke
Risk factors include:
● High temperatures
● Humidity
● Dehydration
● Intense physical activity
Sickle Cell Trait (SCT)
Sickle Cell Trait is an inherited blood trait carried by millions of Americans.
Most individuals live healthy lives without complications.
However, under certain extreme conditions, individuals with SCT may face increased risk during intense physical exertion.
Rhabdomyolysis
Rhabdomyolysis is a serious condition involving muscle breakdown that can occur following extreme physical exertion.
Potential risk factors include:
● Intense exercise
● Heat stress
● Dehydration
● Illness
● Overtraining
