Professional Development

Leadership Training and Instructional Coaching

Helping your district to improve academic progression, increase enrollment, and raise test scores.

What We Do

We offer support to your teachers through professional development, instructional coaching and collaboration. We work with educators to provide equitable learning environments that sets the stage for a successful academic year. 

Our Focus

  • Safety- We help to provide an environment where students feel safe, respected, and valued in order for learning to take place
  • Equity- We use training and instructional coaching to educators encourage learning no matter what the race, gender, learning differences, socio-economic status or background is.
  • Social Emotional Learning (SEL)-We empower students to have strong emotional skills through providing opportunities to learn at school and at home. We set goals, and provide feedback in order for students to collaborate with each other and calibrate their thinking. 

OUR PROCESS

We support teachers, students, and families through coaching, and continuous reflection and improvement. 

Instructional Coaching - Because of this, we are able to use the A.D.D.I.E. Model in instructional coaching to ensure learning takes place:

  • Analyze- We would identify the needs of educators by asking about their successes and “opportunities to grow.” We would find out where the gaps were and what may have hindered student-centered learning. 
  • Design- Based on our findings we would construct the idea of a blueprint outlining objectives, structure, timeline, and strategies customized for each teacher’s success.
  • Develop- This is where we would actually create the blueprint, and add in any helpful materials and resources to ensure engagement would take place. 
  • Implement- We would roll out the plan that was developed.
  • Evaluate- We would assess the effectiveness of what we came up with through assessments, feedback, and learning outcomes. 

Professional Development- In Leadership, our professional development topics expand to but are not limited to the following: 

  • Mission and Values Alignment
  • Conflict Resolution and de-escalation
  • Team work
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion 
  • Implicit Bias
  • Understanding the Black and Brown Experience (Culture)
  • Emotional Intelligence
  • Setting Goals for the year
  • Burnout- How to reset

OUTCOMES:

Because of our effective professional development through leadership training and instructional coaching, STUDENTS WIN!!! The following outcomes would be established: 

There would be an increase in

  • Test scores
  • Grades throughout the academic year
  • Enrollment
  • Parent involvement

Instructors would receive increased

  • Professional Development and support 
  • More effective strategies in delivering their subject matter
  • Deeper understanding of the experience of diverse students
  • De-escalation strategies / class management
  • Tactics to relieving burnout
  • Points on how to support students throughout the academic year. The district would benefit because of alignment with the
  • School District Mission and Vision Statement
  • Common Core Standards ELA 
  • Common Core Standards Math 
  • California Next Science Standards  
  • California Arts Standards for Public Schools
  • California School Dashboard
